Policies
Here are the policies for the services I offer; I hope you have as much fun reading them as I had writing them. For products I follow the policies put forth by Shaklee—please go to my Shaklee storefront to view them.
Scheduling Appointments
I prefer that you schedule your appointment by phone, so that we can talk about your needs and any contraindications (i.e., conditions that make massage an unhealthy choice for you). From then on, we can work out the scheduling over email if that's better for you.
For your first appointment, I'll send an email confirmation that includes my address and an intake form for you to complete in advance.
Appointment Times
I always give the full session time, e.g., a 60-minute massage includes 60 minutes of massage, plus additional time for intake and checkout. And quite frankly I often run over time by 5-10 minutes. Please plan your schedule accordingly and let me know upon arrival if you have time constraints.
Please come alone; I can't offer child care or accommodations for unexpected companions. If someone must come with you, please let me know in advance and ask them to bring something to read.
Arriving Late
Sessions are scheduled to avoid overlap between clients, so please plan to arrive on time. If you're running more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, please call ahead if you can do so safely. I'll give you as much time as my schedule permits, and I reserve the right to charge for the full session even if we had to cut it short.
Rescheduling, Cancelling, and No-shows
If you must reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact me as soon as possible. I don't charge a cancellation fee, because they don't work anyway; I just ask for courtesy.
If you no-show for an appointment, please call after the fact if you can. I'll try to call you if you don't call first, to check that you're OK and help you reschedule.
If you repeatedly cancel or no-show, I'll recommend some places that might suit your schedule better.
Inappropriate Conduct
No inappropriate conduct will be tolerated. (You know what that means.) And that goes both ways. If I feel that you're being inappropriate, I will immediately terminate the session and you won't get a refund. It's pretty unlikely that you'll be welcomed back, too. If you feel like I am being inappropriate...well, I can't even imagine that scenario, but you would certainly be entitled to stop the session and leave without paying.
Refund Policy
I am committed to your satisfaction, but I don't give refunds for services. If something isn't right, please tell me right away instead of waiting till the end of the session or later. In the rare case that something arises after the appointment, please call me right away and we'll figure out what has to be done to correct the situation.
The refund policy for products is part of the Shaklee product guarantee.
